Enrolling your child
You can enrol your child/ren by filling the online application form. Each child requires a separate form.
THIS IS THE ONLY WAYS TO SECURE YOUR CHILD'S PLACE - bookings can't be made by a casual email, telephone call or via a third party. You are, of course, most welcome to contact us with any enquiry but a conversation/email exchange DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A BOOKED PLACE. Places in the camp are limited to 80 campers. Any more, and our facilities become strained. For this reason it is most important to book you child's place early. This is absolutely essential if you require coach travel to/from camp. |
All campers are assumed to be practising Orthodox Christians and must have a blessing from their parish priest to attend the camp. If your child is a new camper, a short online form will be emailed to your priest asking him to confirm that your child is a communicant member of his parish, is known to him and has his blessing to be enrolled in St Seraphim Orthodox Youth Camp.
NO CAMP PLACE CAN BE SECURED WITHOUT THE RECEIPT OF THIS CONFIRMATION, EVEN IF ALREADY PAID FOR
All campers must be able and willing to communicate in English. Please note that St Seraphim Camp is not an English-language summer school, but a UK-based Orthodox Christian religious instruction programme conducted in English as the language of the country.
Unless there are exceptional reasons for this (which must be discussed in advance) we do not accept non-Orthodox children in

Camp places are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, observing the following priority:
1. Orthodox children belonging to parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church in Great Britain and Ireland who have attended camp previously (or their siblings)
2. Orthodox children belonging to parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church in Great Britain and Ireland who have not attended before
3. Orthodox children from other UK-based Orthodox jurisdictions, with priority given to previous campers
4. Orthodox children from outside of UK
Deadline for 'priority' applications - children from the Diocese of Sourozh and/or resident in UK - 6th May
After that time, any remaining places will be offered to all Orthodox children who apply.
Deadline for all applications: 29th June.
THERE ARE ONLY 80 PLACES AVAILABLE (65 if you want your children to travel on the coach) SO PLEASE DON'T DELAY YOUR APPLICATION
After the deadline or when the camp is full (whichever happens first) a waiting list will be set up for those still wanting places for their children. We will advise you about this if (when) the situation should arise.
