Priest's blessing to attend camp

It is wonderful to see that St Seraphim's popularity continues to grow  year by year, attracting Orthodox children from far and wide.  This inevitably means that, in contrast to our early days  when we had a smaller pool of potential campers, we can no longer expect to know many of the arriving children or their church background. This fact makes it difficult to ensure that we continue to fulfil the camp's main purpose, namely to nurture the faith of the next generation of Orthodox Christians in this country and elsewhere. At the same time, there are only a limited number of available camp places, so it is  particularly important that these are allocated to young people able and willing to embrace this vision.

It has, therefore, been  decided that all new campers  must first obtain an endorsement (blessing) either from their own parish priest or from another Orthodox priest who knows them well. Final allocation of places will only be made on the strength of this blessing.
You have 3 options to solicit your parish priest's endorsement:

1.  A short online form
Please ask your priest to follow  link above  (or alternatively  copy and paste
https://forms.gle/xqFjenNL6L9trgqT8 into in an email to him) asking him to support your child's application to attend St Seraphim Camp.  Once the priest hits Send, the form will find its way to us.

2. Paper form
If you prefer to print out a paper form to take to your priest instead, there is a paper version which can be downloaded on the right. Please scan the form and email it back

3. Simple email
Your priest is also very welcome simply to drop a line by email either to Anna or to Fr Stephen, confirming that he knows your child and is happy to support his or her attendance at St Seraphim Camp
Whichever method you choose, we  must have a written endorsement of your child's camp application by an Orthodox priest before we can confirm your camp place - even it has already been paid for.

Thank you for helping us ensure  that our Church Camp remains true to its vision, preserving a Christ-centred environment which will benefit all our children and the Orthodox Church as a whole.
